5 New Makeup Trials

It might surprise you.  I don't much like wearing makeup.  Or doing my makeup.  Or taking pictures of myself trying makeup.  So that makes this whole thing awkward for me.  I tend also to get into a rut as far as my routine goes.  Therefore, when I switch things up, it warrants a post.

Way to Grow, Urban Decay, Max Factor Makeup

So maybe the first doesn't count as make up, but if doing my make up and doing my hair go hand-in-hand.  Not Your Mother's Way to Grow Leave-in Conditioner (affiliate) left my hair feeling super healthy.  The only problem is, that since I cut my hair short, I don't necessarily want to SPEED UP the growing out process!  I usually use Bumble & Bumble primer spray before I do my hair, but I feel like this conditioner worked better.  I just sprayed it in my wet hair after my shower then may have gone to sleep with wet hair.  My hair was very smooth and easy to straighten the next morning.

When I ran out of my trusty Lancome foundation, I decided to switch it up and try Urban Decay's.  I've gone back and forth on my feelings about this.  It's definitely a full coverage, which I'm requiring nowadays due to breakouts.  I thought those were supposed to stop well before 30!  It takes a lot of blending, and some days I feel like I need a little bronzer to not wash me out.

I received the Masterpiece MAX Mascara (affiliate) by Max Factor in the Endless Summer VoxBox, right after I purchased some new Tarte mascara.  Honestly, I love the brush of the Max Factor mascara much more than the Tarte.

Max Factor Masterpiece Eyeliner and Mascara

In the same package (which is also where I got the Leave-in Conditioner!) I also received Max Factor's Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Eyeliner (affiliate).  I'm still not sure how I feel about it, and that's mostly because my hand is not steady enough to wear it!  I felt like I needed a couple layers of mascara (so I used my Tarte on top of the mascara) to make my lashes stand out against the liner.  I do like the tip- you can make a thin line, or a thicker one.

I'm not sure what possessed me to buy the Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray, but I'm glad I did!  I've used this over the past couple of weeks, to take the place of my Bare Minerals Powder.  I have noticed that my makeup looks like it has been freshly applied for the majority of the day.  I have also learned that I need to wait a few minutes before spraying it on, as it can make my mascara blotchy!

So how did it all wear?

Heads up!  I received a VoxBox from Influenster full of stuff to try for review.  Not Your Mother's Way to Grow, Max Factor mascara, and Max Factor liquid eyeliner were all provided to me in exchange for my open, honest opinion.  The Urban Decay products, I purchased myself and just love!
