5 TV Shows to Binge Watch

It always seems like I'm writing about TV stuff.  Which is strange, because my TV hasn't been off of TBS in 2 weeks.  Actually the TV in the living hasn't been on during the week at all.  But I still have a list of stuff that I either catch On Demand or DVR for the weekend with the boy.  And right now TV is slim pickin's.

1.  Pretty Little Liars- I've mentioned this one a few times before, and it's definitely a favorite of mine and Nadine's.  It seems both our husbands deal with it quite well and may actually get into it a little.  Season 6 is on ABC Family, but the last 5 seasons are on Netflix.  Please help us figure out who the hell "A" is.  In between wondering how in the crap this show is on ABC Family.

2.  Your Family or Mine-  The first season ended this Tuesday on TBS.  However, I believe you can catch all 10 episodes On Demand or on the TBS app.  Actually, I would advise going that route, because some of the language that gets by on the app, I'm not sure is allowed in even prime time hours.  There's a lot of "God Damns" and "Jesus Christs"  and "shits" dropped. hehe.   But it's hilarious.  Married for about 10 years, each episode centers around either Oliver's family or Kelli's, and more often than not, the families intertwine.

3.  The Inbetweeners-  I first heard of this on the What Say You? Podcast, as James Buckley and his wife were on the show with Sal and Q.  They were hilarious.  This is a British TV show about 4 awkward boys in whatever the British version of high school is.  There are only 6 episodes in a season, and only 3 or 4 seasons. But there are also 2 full length movies, all available on Netflix.  You get used to the accent (garage is "garidge") and the lingo quite quickly.

4.  Comic Book Men- This comes on after The Walking Dead on AMC.  It features 2/3 of the hosts of Tell 'em Steve-Dave, as well as "Silent Bob" (Kevin Smith) from Jay and Silent Bob.  Sometimes Jay also pops in.  It takes place at Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash, a comic book store in New Jersey.  I thought the show was going to be all comic book geeks, but it's really interesting.  They act as kind of a pawn shop, and show the values of what certain comics and memorabilia are worth.  Walt, Kev, and Bryan have also all known each other since grade school, so that also makes it quite fun, as there are shenanigans.  Seasons 2 and 3 are on Netflix.  I have yet to track down season 1, or the most recent season that has rumored to include the other 1/3 of TESD.

5.  Married at First Sight- Have I mentioned this one before and have ya'll seen it?  I started watching it with the cousin-in-law (is that a thing?) when we were in North Carolina over Easter.  The boys went and played.  We stayed behind and binge watched trashy TV.  Then the puppy spilled an entire bowl of water, but it's okay because she's incredibly adorable.  The whole premise of this show intrigues and terrifies me at the same time.  These couples first meet at their wedding and then stay married for 6 weeks after that, at which point they can ask for a divorce.  When we started watching it, it was the second or third season.  Meaning that this had been done a season before and people watched.  And then I understood why.  the way they broke the episodes up, we could not stop watching.  It's on FYI network, and most (if not all) of the season's episodes are available On Demand.

Any suggestions on what to binge watch next?  I'm thinking Girls is on Amazon Prime.  But only the first season!

I love Pretty Little Liars and Married at 1st Sight! I watched the Pretty Little Liars episode already but am waiting until tonight to sit down and watch the season finale of Married at 1st Sight. I haven't heard of the other shows but I might check them out.

  2. I haven't watched PLL yet this week, and still need to do a catch up of Married at First Sight. It's just so bizarre to me!

I only caught a few episodes of your family or mine, but it's super cute - might need to catch up with it this weekend! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  4. I thought it was pretty good - TBS has really stepped up their game with some of their shows!

  5. I need to watch PLL for this week still. Everyone needs to hop on board that train wreck!!! I haven't seen these other shows but clearly need to try them out. I watch way too much TV.

  6. I go through spurts. Here lately I've been watching A LOT of tv, and I don't even feel bad about it lol

  7. Yes!!! Our DVR list is empty! I have heard so many great reviews about married at first sight!

  8. Ours is, too! Thank GOD CBS has been repeating season 5 of Blue Bloods- I've got most of that on DVR now since it's not on Netflix yet- and it's giving me some good binge-watchin' time!

  9. I hadn't heard of FYI network.. is it new or am I just a lost cause? haha and I need to find your family or mine and the inbetweeners as they sound cool.

  10. I didn't realize it was on that network either until researching a little more. I think it's new. The Inbetweeners are the first British show I've watched, and I'm hoping I can find a couple other good ones now that I'm used tot he accent!

  12. I think I need to check out Scandal. I broke down and got a free trial of CBS All Access for a week and am hoping to make it through the latest season of Blue Bloods. At least up until the episodes I have DVR'd!

I love comments! Let me know what you think!
