Girl Stuff | Review

Recently I got sent two great products to review.  One for my face, and one for my legs!  I'm still trying out skincare products to see what I like the best- so my face routine is ever-changing.  And razors-  I don't think I've ever found one that I love - but I can tolerate just about any that does a half-decent job.

The Adovia Dead Sea mud mask is my favorite mask that I've found to date.  It's more of a clay than mud.  I leave it on for a full twenty minutes, and it makes my skin feel super smooth.  I can see a noticeable difference after using it.  It's about as close to odor-free as you can get, which is good when some scents tend to give me headaches!

How does this compare to the Pure Dead Sea mud mask that I was using prior?  It's like any of the dislikes that I had with it were fixed.  It's much thicker and not as runny, which makes it much easier to put on and dry faster.  It doesn't have eucalyptus in it (which I love the idea of) so it doesn't tingle- sometimes I'd have to remove the other if my skin was feeling super sensitive.   Last, as I said above- there is nearly no odor.  Or maybe I'm just used to the other getting more and more pungent the more I used it.  Anyway, I use the Adovia mud mask once a week, then follow with cleanser, vitamin C serum, and my trusty Ponds moisturizer.

Shortly after I received the mud mask to try out, I also received a Schick's new razor.  The TrimStyle razor is a two in one-  razor on one end, electric trimmer on the other.  Love the razor side, not at all a fan of the trimmer.

The handle of the razor is a little thicker than most, which gives it a nice comfortable feel in my hand.  The blades are amazing, though the built in moisturizer strip doesn't last as long.  I also found that shortly after shaving, I'd have to lotion up.  Not a big deal since that's the normal routine, but it did say that it'd keep on moisturizing.  It did not.

The trimmer side is nice in theory- it has 3 different length settings and operated on a double-A battery. BUT it just will not cut / shave / trim anything.  Seriously- I even ran it down my arm because I thought I was losing my mind.  Nooope.  Well.. yeah- but not about this!  Anyway, the razor does what a razor is supposed to do, but it's not anything Earth-shattering in the world of leg-shaving!

Mud mask provided by Brandbacker, and the razor was sent to me by Bzzagent.  All opinions are my own.

  1. I love trying new face masks! My skin care routine is ever changing as well with a few staples because there is nothing I love. I tried that razor without the trimming end and I found that it was a lot harsher to my skin than the other razors in that brand. I mean, it did what it was supposed to do but the moisture strip drove me crazy because it would leave the sticky residue behind on me and my shower.

I love your honest reviews, it really helps me know what to buy and what not to (some people just give fluffy reviews for everything!)

  3. Awww thanks so much! I enjoy writing them, but sometimes it's hard to find -something- to say, if it's just a "meh" item. And I try to get stuff that I would (or should!) get anyway, which helps a lot.

I love comments! Let me know what you think!
