Weekending- Christmas Edition

Okay so I totally lied and didn't get the gifts that I got him for the past 6 years posted.  But I have a good reason.  I was having a blast with family in town.  Also, some last minute cleaning and decorating that I had to do before they got here.  But I'm back and ready to go, linking up with Biana today!

I hope everyone's Christmases went well!

Family got here Wednesday afternoon and night, and then bright and early Thursday morning, we were up to open presents.  My brother thought that was strange as we have no kids.  But there are currently 4 dogs here.  Once one gets up, they all want to get up and play.  Plus, it's Christmas.  Oh yeah, and the turkey is to be eaten promptly at noon, so I got up to "help" prepare.

I'm now going to take the opportunity to show off some of my presents…

Apple iPhone 6
I was surprised to get this pretty little thing under the tree- an Apple iPhone 6 in gold.  64gb.
I promptly got a clear case and some tempered glass to put on the screen.

Swarovski 2013 and 2014 Crystal Ornamens
I picked up this little table top glitter tree at Bed, Bath, and Beyond on Friday.  It has LED lights on the tips as well.
I don't remember the exact price, but it was under $10 on the Friday after Christmas.
I'm using it to display my new crystal ornaments.  I received both the Swarovski 2013(associate link) and
the Swarovski 2014(associate link) crystal ornaments for Christmas.

Dewalt DWS780 12 inch sliding compound miter saw
I have had so much fun cutting wood with this!  I have no complaints thus far with the DWS780(associate link).
Because of a deal at Lowes, I got the stand and a step up from the DWS782 that I had said I wanted in this post, for the equivalent price.
Friday, Scott's mom, aunt, and I ran into Tallahassee for some after-Christmas sales.  I loaded up on decorations for next year, which is my new favorite thing to do.  But, it's going to be a challenge to store all this stuff!  I also got rid of 6 or 8 of the Bed, Bath, and Beyond coupons I had been hoarding.  Though I still have 12 more to go.

Saturday was spent doing a little more shopping and building stuff.  With Scott's mom's help (and a little bit of Scott's brute strength) I started and (and almost) finished a console table up for his office.  I'm sure I shall be back later in the week with a post about it-  we're still debating how to paint/ stain it.

By Sunday afternoon the house was empty, and it was time to get to work on getting things a little more cleaned up and organized.  I'm very thankful I have this next week off!  It's going to take that long to get house put back together, let alone the garage, which has become such a massive dumping ground, that I cannot park my car in there!

  4. Thanks! I just stare at it sometimes it's so pretty. I'm sure I'll get over it the first time I drop it and scratch up the case. I love to build stuff, but up until that fancy ass saw, we always had to get the wood cut at Lowes or Home Depot. Having my own makes it easier for sure!
