T- 10 Days

This is the most productive weekend that I've had in quite some time!  It's kind of a feat there is a boy recovering from sickness.

We kicked off the weekend with a little date in Thomasville, GA.  Every year they have a "Victorian Christmas" festival/fair thing in their downtown area.  We walked around for a bit, ate some phenomenal loaded baked potato soup and a doughboy.  Otherwise known as a funnel cake in the South.  There were a few street vendors, and they had a live nativity scene.  However, all of the shops within two blocks stayed open, which was kind of fun to pop in to.  I was a good blogger and took a picture.
I was a bad blogger and only took this picture.  I lie.  Scott took it.
Today was mostly spent decorating the tree and the rest of the house some more.  I finally got some pictures ready and designed our Christmas card on minted.  I don't mind showing it off early, because I have yet to even order them.  So, to anyone that I actually know.  Expect one of these in the mail.  Eventually.

Admittedly, this is my/our first year actually sending Christmas cards.  Is that terrible?  Look at the cute bears!

I took a time out Sunday from preparing the guest rooms, and mustered all my patience to wait for Pottermore to load.  Everyday between the 12th and the 25, JK Rowling is releasing new bits of information.  I'm a dork, but I enjoy all of the other stuff she has come up with for these characters.  It's clear that there was/is more to the Harry Potter story than what is in the books (and definitely in the movies).  The different background information she provides on the site shows just how much time, thought, and emotion that she has invested in these characters.

Happy 4th day of Christmas!!

I'm linking up with Walk With Me by FaithB Loved Boston and Bringing Up Brumfields!

  6. It's a terrible affliction, but I blame it mostly on the dogs. They don't take direction well, so husband having a treat in his hand goes a long way!
